An agroforestry consulting team that digitized field work, labor, and costs, all in one place.
saved per day on administrative logging by the technician
oTrevo is a service and consulting company specializing in environmental and agroforestry consulting. The team works side by side with farmers and forest landowners in two complementary areas: technical consulting for outside producers and managing its own farms.
Consulting for producers
Technical agronomic support for outside farms.
Recommendations on plant protection treatments, fertilization, and cultural operations sent directly to producers and their supervisors.
"With Wisecrop, the recommendations are very direct and intuitive, and farmers and supervisors end up easily understanding what's intended."
— Catarina, Agronomic EngineerManaging its own farms
Operational and financial management of oTrevo's own farms, producing stone fruit orchards and pomegranates.
Including logging of all field operations, labor control, and tracking of production costs.
"Everything on the operational side gets translated into data, whether it's treatments or field operations, all logged on the platform."
— Daniel Montes, General ManagerManaging plant protection and fertilization recommendations in Wisecrop allowed oTrevo to automate reports, ensure compliance, and give producers a complete history of their farm.
oTrevo supports dozens of producers with recommendations on treatments, fertilization, and cultural operations. Before Wisecrop, this work was done in Word and Excel, with no automation, no compliance tracking, and no structured history.
Each recommendation was drawn up independently, with no link to what had previously been done on each farm.
We reached a point where Excel could no longer handle the volume of data. We were on the verge of starting to lose data, and we did end up losing some along the way.

Implementing Wisecrop digitized the producer consulting process. Recommendations on treatments, fertilization, and cultural operations began being generated by the platform and delivered directly to farmers. Each farm now has a complete, structured history, accessible at any time.
Clear, direct, and easy to read. The technician exports the file and sends it to the producer or supervisor.
Safety intervals and applied fertilization units are tracked in real time.
At year's end, they send the producer a complete history that can be used to compare campaigns, present to regulatory bodies, or apply for subsidies.
When we make the recommendations, we immediately get reports in a fairly simple, easy-to-read format that can be used for a field logbook. That's a big advantage for the client.

We created a complete, structured history of all operations, easily shareable with producers.

Centralizing costs, labor, and field activities on a single platform allowed oTrevo to move from reactive annual control to real-time financial management.
oTrevo managed the operations of its stone fruit and pomegranate orchards through multiple Excel spreadsheets and documents shared on an internal cloud. Records came in from the field on paper and were manually entered at the office.
Plant protection and service invoices were only entered at year-end close. During the campaign there was no way to know where actual costs stood.
Implementing Wisecrop centralized all operational and financial management on a single platform. Records began being entered directly from the field, and office validation was reduced to simply confirming what had already been entered. Costs began being tracked daily.
The field colleague enters records directly on the phone. At the office, Catarina and Hilário only check that the data is correct.
Invoices are entered the moment the cost occurs. Before, everything piled up until year-end, making it impossible to make financial decisions during the campaign.
Before, there was one Excel sheet per owner, Word documents, and a shared cloud. Now there's a single place where all operational and financial management of the farms lives.
The goal is to be more efficient in using the scarce resource that is money, and to make decisions that are both technically and economically sound.

Daniel now tracks farm costs on a daily basis. Decisions that used to be possible only in December can now be made at any point in the year, with verified, up-to-date data.
All operation records are now entered directly from the field.
Financial management is no longer done only at campaign close.
Attendance and hours logged in the field, with no later paper collection.
One platform replaced multiple Excel files, Word documents, and shared cloud storage.
The key really is organization, the way things are organized and compact. That's what matters most: we manage to have everything from costs to cultural operations, all centered in one place.
