Quick Start Guide

At Wisecrop, we help simplify farm management through digitalization. We work to make farms more efficient, sustainable, and prepared for future challenges, always focusing on the real needs of farmers.

This quick start guide allows users to take their first steps in Wisecrop easily and in no time.

Georeferencing

Step 1

Create your Farm 🏡

To get the most out of Wisecrop, the first step is to create your Production Unit. It should be well-defined and organized, representing your Farm or Estate.

Create your Production Unit by clicking the blue button in the upper right corner of the platform, and you'll be directed to the map. Search for your location, move the map to your farm's location, and click on the spot you want to set as the main coordinate.

After choosing the location, just give it a name and define the total area. With that done, you have the foundation to start digitalizing and monitoring. It’s like preparing the soil before planting!

Mapping

Step 2

Define Fields and Crops 🌱

After creating the Production Unit, the next step is mapping the plots and installed crops. You can do this manually using the drawing mode, import them automatically via IFAP, SIGPAC or mapping files (kml, kmz, json, geojson).

Each plot can have one or more crops, which we call Subplots. Each Subplot represents a specific crop in a defined area within the plot.

Alerts

Step 3

Create Custom Alerts ⚠️

Alerts are distributed according to the Wisecrop modules, allowing you to create alerts for:

🌦️ Climate
💧 Irrigation
🌱 Nutrition
💉 Plant Health
🚜 Field Activities
👨‍🌾 Labor
💰 Costs

When creating alerts, you can customize the conditions for triggering them, whether by a specific date, periodicity, sensor data, weather forecast, or bioclimatic data. You can also add a personalized message, choose to receive the alert via email and/or SMS, and share it with other users.

Dashboard

Step 4

Customize your Dashboard 📱

The Agricultural Operating System is designed for quick and simple navigation and customization.

You can add, remove, or change the order of the cards on your dashboard whenever needed.

To do this, scroll to the bottom of your dashboard and click the "Add Card" button. A list of available panels will appear for you to activate or deactivate. In this list, you can drag each row up or down to change the card order.
