What is the data source for the weather forecast?

At Wisecrop, we work with advanced weather forecasting, provided by specialists in meteorology applied to the agricultural sector. The forecasts provided are produced based on models calibrated for the geographic coordinate of the Farm.

To change the forecast data source, look for alternative services in the Shop.

How are chill hours calculated?

Based on the weather data available for your Farm, we present a sum of the number of hours in which the average hourly temperature is below a previously defined value (by default 7.2 ºC, calculated for the period from October 1 to April 30 of the following year).

To adjust the model's parameters, click Settings.

I already have a weather station — can I access the data through Wisecrop?

If you already own a weather station that sends data to the internet, it is possible to assess whether it can be made compatible with Wisecrop.
