1.
The probe should be installed next to a dripper/sprinkler. It should also be close to a post for fixing the communication module. This post should preferably be at least 7 cm in diameter and taller than the plants around it.
2.
Using a drill bit, auger, or post-hole digger, make a hole in the soil deep and wide enough to insert the sensor completely. The hole should be slightly smaller than the device to ensure that its tip stays in contact with the soil.
3.
Mix the soil removed from the hole with water until it has the consistency of a thin mud. Remove all plant debris or rocks from the mixture.
4.
Pour the mixture into the hole and press the probe down to the bottom, making sure there are no air gaps between the probe and the soil, as well as no stones or roots larger than 1 cm in diameter. Only the orange "cap" should remain visible.
Make sure the power cable is buried approximately 5 cm deep and oriented toward the post where the communication module will be installed.
5.
Remove the cover of the communication module and, holding the module vertically with the external connections facing down, plug the connector on the right side into the white input with 3 small pins. After connecting it, you should see a red light turn on and blink, indicating that the module has powered on correctly.
6.
Put the cover back on the communication module and secure it with the 8 screws supplied with it.
7.
Using the Phillips screwdriver, fix the communication module to the center of the post (both vertically and horizontally) and secure the power cable with plastic cable ties. Fix the solar panel to the top of the post, facing south, and make sure it is higher than the plants around it.

| To calibrate the sensor correctly, send us a soil sample for analysis (500 g). The soil should be collected from several areas of the plot and at the depth of the plant's root (e.g., 30 to 50 cm), without plant debris or rocks. |
