Advanced Settings for Irrigation Sectors
Step 1. Access irrigation system settings
Open the Production page and, in Settings, go to Irrigation System;
Step 2. Open irrigation sectors
Next, go to the Sectors section (a) and open the settings (b) of the irrigation sector you want to edit;
Step 3. Advanced options
By clicking on Advanced options you can define the area(s) per crop(s) that this sector refers to.
Step 4. Automatic calculation of the number of plants and irrigated area
Fill in the fields Plant width in the row, Distance between plants in the row, Row spacing, and Spacing between emitters.
Then, click on Automatic calculation of the number of plants, emitters, and irrigated area.
Step 5. Define sector characteristics
Sector Efficiency: Adjusts the irrigation plan, the recommended irrigation time and, in the case of Agronic integration, influences the conversion of irrigation time into liters applied (for irrigation programs, it changes the m³ irrigated).
It is also important to define the Maximum Flow Rate per Emitter (L/h), which will vary according to the system installed.
Step 6. Define irrigation automation
If you do not have any integrated equipment, such as probes or flow meters, it is only necessary to define the Irrigation Plan Strategy.
- Stress: Irrigation suggestion indicates the amount to irrigate so that the soil moisture level stays at the water stress limit, i.e., within the orange limit on the monitoring graph
- Near Field Capacity: Irrigation suggestion indicates the amount to irrigate so that the soil moisture level stays between the optimum point and field capacity
- Low irrigation frequency
- Normal: Irrigation suggestion indicates the amount to irrigate so that the soil moisture level stays at the optimal water limit for plants, i.e., within the green limit on the monitoring graph
